Shape the future of bus depots – we are looking for an Electrical Manager!

About the role

We started operating our first electric bus as early as 2014, and by spring 2027, we will have approximately 125 electric buses in operation. This work of converting our bus depots for electric buses and their charging requires more from us, and this is where this new role as Electrical Manager will play a major part. With the help of solar cells/battery storage and new innovative technology, we can develop Sweden's smartest bus depots/facilities! You are vital to this team building.

We are looking for you who is a social person, with a strong technical interest and the desire to learn more. To thrive in the role, you should be a responsible and meticulous team player who is not afraid to come up with new ideas and take initiative. You are analytical and can see opportunities for improvement. We see you becoming our electrical operations manager in the company as safety comes first. We place great emphasis on internal collaboration within the company as we both procure, build, operate, and develop our technical facilities for bus traffic.

You will work with optimizing the use of electric buses; charging infrastructure, investigations regarding the expansion of grid connections, energy solutions, or own electricity production at our bus depots, as well as supporting the real estate department's construction projects with your electrical knowledge. The role involves contact with power grid companies, consultants, service partners, or installers in projects or operations.

Your personal technical development should go hand-in-hand with the company's shift to electrification of our vehicles and depots. The role is located under the real estate department.

Qualifications:

You have relevant education in the electrical field, for example as an electrician, vocational college engineer, university college engineer, or other education/experience that Svealandstrafiken assesses as equivalent. We see as basic requirements that you have:

• Experience working with electrical installations and electrical systems
• Good understanding of electrical safety, legislation, and current standards (ESA certificate)
• Authorization/certification A or AL (AB, ABL)
• Experience in planning, coordination, or project management within the electrical field
• Ability to work both strategically and operationally
• Good computer skills and preferably experience with documentation or technical systems
• Fluent Swedish in speech and writing
• Swedish Category B driver's license

Meritorious:

• Experience within electromobility
• Experience with solar cells and battery storage
• Experience with SCADA systems
• Knowledge of AB, ABT, ABK
• Experience with LOU/LUF (Public procurement regulations)
• Previous role as electrical operations manager

About the employment

The position is full-time, permanent, with placement in Örebro or Västerås according to agreement. Start date as soon as possible.

The company's total operations are located in both Örebro County and Västmanland County, which means the role requires travel for work. A Swedish Category B driver's license is therefore a requirement.
